Mediation - Now Free Nationwide

Starting 1 July 2025, FDR mediation in Aotearoa is now officially free for everyone. The government has removed the eligibility test, so whoever needs family dispute resolution, no matter your income, can access fair, child‑focused mediation through Fair Way Resolution Ltd—completely free.

What this means for families

• No fees. No tests. No exclusion.

• Up to 12 hours of mediation support—individual prep, child support sessions, joint mediation, and parenting plan drafting—all included.

• A supportive path to resolution outside court: respectful, safe, and centred on children’s wellbeing.

Why we’re sharing it now
